Description
This is the 1562 Paris publication of Justinian's Digestorum Seu Pandectorum, Pars Sexta (612 pages), books 37 through 45, with all text in Latin.
The vellum cover (app. 4.5" x 6.75") has minor edge wear and light scuffs, but it is structurally sound, with a secure connection at the spine, and with no prominent stains. The abbreviated title, possibly with a library designation, is written in ink on the spine.
The inside is very good overall, with a crossed out name on the spine being the only writing. The only other extraneous material is a blind embossed set of initials on the front end page. There are a number of edge chips and shallow tears, as well as a small number of corner creases, but most pages have neither. All the text is clean and unfaded, including the many decorative capitals. The binding is tight, with no loose or missing pages. The accompanying photos are of this copy.
