Description

English stage magician Fred Culpitt (1877-1944), invented many classics of magic such as The Doll House Illusion, Silk to Egg, Costume Trick Illusion, as well as this fun effect. A cloth banner is shown with a picture of a girl bathing. As the banner is fold, the magician removes the girl’s cloths, culminating in a surprise ending. In the 1980’s a version of this effect was featured by David Copperfield using a Loni Anderson poster. Edges starting to fray. Ca. 1944.
