American, 20th century. A sterling set of John Pontus Petterson (Chicago) utensils in the "Elsinore" pattern, including one salad fork and one spoon, each marked HAND MADE J.P.P. STERLING (each lg. 11.75 in.); plus, fourteen sterling spoons by Gorham, including twelve teaspoons and two demitasse souvenir spoons, each marked for maker and STERLING (teaspoon lg. 5.5 in.); eight sterling teaspoons by various American makers, each marked for maker and STERLING (lg. 5.5 in.); and one American sterling demitasse spoon, marked for maker and STERLING (lg. 4.25 in.); total silver wt. 20.385ozt (634.04g).Â
Condition
Petterson pieces monogrammed, as well as all Gorham teaspoons and three of the American teaspoons. Wear consistent with age and use.
