Description
Two Meissen "Under The Tree" figural groups, after the original by M. C. Acier, modeled in the round with two pairs of revelers and a pair of musicians and a dog on each, on gilt decorated bases, late 19th century or early 20th century, with blue crossed swords, with incised model number 96 and other numbers painted and impressed, approximately 18 inches each. Provenance: De-accession from The Boca Raton Museum of Art.
Condition
Good condition with typical age related losses and repairs, such as missing elements from each bagpipe, a missing thumb on one dancer, an old repair to the hat on one figure, a missing thumb on another, several arms, numerous minor losses to the trees and at least one figure reattached.
