This is the fourth volume (Le Mauvais Ménage, L' Impromptu de la Folie, La Chasse du Cerf, Le Nouveauté and Les Amazones Modernes) of the 1742 edition of Le Grand's plays, 432 pages, with all text in French. The cover (6.5" x 4"), full leather with five raised bands, gold lettering and design on the spine, has bumps to the edges and outside corners, and surface wear at the sides and ends of the spine. The spine, slightly slanted, has minor fade to the gilt, but the lettering is clearly legible. There are scuffs and light white stains to the boards, but no prominent stains. The connection is solid, with no looseness to the hinges. There are no stamps or other attachments. The marbled inside cover spreads are clean and unfaded. The only writing is an ex libris notation, in ink, with a name following, on the half title page. The binding is solid, with no loose or missing pages. There are no notable tears or significant creases. All the lettering is clean and unfaded.
