Gandhara, Pakistan, ca. 1st - 2nd century CE. A beautiful carving a an attendant holding a vessel, or possibly drum over his left shoulder, with hair pulled back, deeply carved eyes, full cheeks, and robe draped over left shoulder. Palmettes are located under torso. and on sides of piece. Likely from larger frieze. Custom stand. Size: 13.5" H (34.3 cm)
Provenance: Ex-Boris Mussienko Collection, Maryland, acquired in the 1980s.
