Description
CHINESE EXPORT ARMORIAL DISHES, CIRCA 1760, 2, DIA 9":Pictured in China for the West by David Howard and John Eyers, volume 2 page 424. Dated in book as 1760. Decorated at the rim with naturalistic trellis-work and rambling flowers and a crest, above the central scene of three exotic tropical birds by flowering shrubs.
Condition
Both dishes have multiple nicks and small chips around the edge of the rims, the longest chip being 3/8". There are also some areas where the very edge of the rim is worn off, and the longest area measures 2". RB 8-2-17
