Ming Dynasty Tianqi Period Wucai Glazed Porcelain Dish of Hexagonal Form W/Tianqi Reign Mark & Wax Export Seal - This porcelain dish was made during the Ming Dynasty of China, and has the four character Tianqi mark, which is rare for pieces of this period. The piece is decorated with a traditional wucai glaze with scholar and servants in a garden setting. The dish has a hexagonal form, and the outer edge is decorated with cranes in flight and floral motifs. The inner six edges are also decorated with matching motifs. On the back of the dish under the reign mark you will also see that the dish is stamped with an old export customs permission wax seal, needed to export antique artifacts from China. The dish is in excellent condition with no cracks or restoration. The dish measures 8"L x 6.25"W x 1.5"H.
