Description

This is the first US edition, a pirated 1940 publication, printed in Mexico for Medusa, in its original textured red cloth cover, with gold lettering and borders on the spine. The cover's upper outside corners are faded and bumped. The cover is otherwise in very good condition, with no other fade, no prominent stains, and no tears. The inside is near fine, with few stains, none of which are substantial. Almost all pages (322 numbered) are unstained. The binding is tight, with no loose or missing pages. There are no page tears, and few creases, none of them sharp. There are no stamps or other attachments. There is no writing. All the text is unfaded and clearly legible.
