Description

This is an excellent early Sweepstakes Trade Stimulator Gambling Device. The game features a wooden case with horse racing graphics under a glass panel. The gambler would push the metal tab button at the front that would activate the spring powered wheel to roll the dice inside (to metal pegs on the inside placed at opposite sides cause the dive to roll in every direction giving a more random result). The piece is in very good condition for its age and works well. Truly a very rare original piece. The graphics show eleven horse, each having a number and the betting odds and is marked in the center, "Sweepstakes / A Game of Thrill Sport of Kings". The piece is most likely from the 1920-1930's and is possibly manufactured by the Haras MFG. Co. New York or the H.C. Evans Company. Measures 9"x11".
