This is an excellent late 19th to early 20th Century raised panel file map cabinet. The piece shows a solid oak construction with eight drawers. Each drawer shows the original Art Nouveau cast iron fancy drawer pulls along with various brass washed metal book-shaped identification tag holders. The piee shows original finish with excellent patina having a rich, dark tone. Overall the piece shows good condition with no major damage. The uniquely functioning drawers of this piece were designed to pivot to and stay 45 degree angle in order to view its contents more easily. The piece measures 53" tall, and 30" x 20" at the base. The piece is in good overall condition, though one of the drawers is missing the hardware to allow it to pivot. This is believed to be very early and have a very rare drawer function.
