Early book of colorful woodblock prints. High level of artistic quality. Colors still vibrant. String-bound. Cover label torn and missing part of title. Covers rough but intact for the most part. Woodblock print pages in very good condition—quite presentable. Rear endpaper torn in half. 12 pages of woodblock illustrations plus one page of text.
Torii Kiyonaga (1752-1815) was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist of the Torii school. Originally Sekiguchi Shinsuke, the son of an Edo bookseller, he took on Torii Kiyonaga as an art name.
