Large Chinese Qing Dynasty Guan type in porcelain Zun vase, sturdily potted in a bulbous body, gracefully waisted and tapering toward neck leading to a wide opening, raised on a footed base. The collar flanked by two looped handles, with sheep masks emerged on the top, created pair of characterizing ears. All covered in a pale-grayish-celadon glaze, with a single network of wide dark grey crackles along the surfaces, and darker lining to the top of rim and neck interior with olive-greenish hue. The foot rim remain unglazed, revealed deep-brown ground with speckles firing marks. The shape is uniformly proportioned. The porcelain conformed all required specimen to be high valued Chinese GuanYao porcelain Imperial wares , with finest material, the whiteness, the glaze, the painting, and the shape. The clay is fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous.

Mark on base, a six blue seal script -ZhuanShu- characters reign mark, YongZheng Reign Period of Great Qing, and of the period.

PROVENANCE:
The private collections of Earl Sorensen, based out of Atlanta, is known as a prominent Buddha collector. A International businessman whom trades with various Asian countries during the 1960s. On a business trip in Western China, he received a Buddha statue as gift from a monk. Since then, he has became fascinated with Buddhist artifacts and Eastern cultures. After many decades, Earl Sorensen has planned his retirement, and decided to pass his beloved collections to appreciate collectors. Earl Sorensen's collections can be found from Lot-55 through Lot-65, and from Lot-93 through Lot-110.
