STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED HUDSON RIVER NEW YORK CERAMIC PLATES, LOT OF FOUR, all with brown/sepia prints, having designs from the "Picturesque Views" series of the Hudson River, including "West Point", "Junction of the Sacandaga and Hudson Rivers", "and "Nr Fishkill", as marked on bases. One impressed "CLEWS WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE", two with additional impressed or printed marks, otherwise unmarked. Ralph and James Clews, Staffordshire, England. Second quarter 19th century. 5 1/4" to 10 3/8" D.
One with small flake on front rim, one with minute flake on foot rim, otherwise undamaged with one having moderate staining.
