Description
STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED HUDSON RIVER NEW YORK CERAMIC CUP PLATES, LOT OF THREE, all with brown/sepia prints, designs from the "Picturesque Views" series of the Hudson River including "Fairmount", having an octagonal house beside a waterfall and "Fort Edward". Two with impressed rectangular marks on base, otherwise unmarked. Likely Ralph and James Clews and/or William Adams IV & Sons, Staffordshire, England. Second quarter 19th century. 3 3/4" to 3 7/8" D.
One with light hairline on underside of rim that does not appear to go through to front.
