SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA PAINTED RIB-TYPE WOVEN-SPLINT GARDEN / MARKET BASKET, white oak, sturdy converging-rib kidney form with wrapped double rim and arched handle having X-form supports. Retains likely original green-painted surface. Late 19th/early 20th century. 13 1/4" HOA, 8 1/2" H rim, 13" W rim.
Very good overall condition with minor breaks and losses to rim and handle support.
