Description
OHIO SPONGE-DECORATED YELLOWWARE SEATED SPANIEL DOORSTOP, cobalt blue, facing right, open front legs, tail curled to rear, punched eyes and nostrils, on a shaped base featuring trefoils and shells across the front, five vent holes under base. East Liverpool, probably Vodrey Brothers. Circa 1855. 9 1/2" H, 5" x 7 7/8" base.
