A group of two Japanese woodblock prints. Utagawa school. Oban, approx. 15"h x 10"w. ++ Utagawa, Kuniyoshi (Japan, 1798-1861). Ichikawa Danzou as Satoo Masakiyo. Publisher: Kawaguchi-ya Shozo (seal reads "Kawashou"). 1833. ++ Utagawa, Kunisada (Japan, 1786-1865). Ichikawa Danjuurou as Yanonegorou. 1820.
Provenance: From the collection of diplomat T. Kobayashi.
Condition: Having former matting tape marks. Having folding marks and tears. Toning and stains consistent with age and use.
