An untitled portrait, circa 1935
Signed lower right
Thick paper mounted to Masonite by the artist in the period.
Board measures approximately 30 x 25 inches, the frame 35 x 30 inches.
Displayed in a frame made by the artist.
Provenance: found in long-term storage within a mid-Missouri home around 1990 along with a second work dated 1935. Trew Hocker left Missouri at the beginning of World War II, settling in New York after the war. He was a muralist and student of Thomas Hart Benton.

Very good condition, a 2 inch repair just above the shoulder, no other repair or in-painting, no damage or other issues.
