RHODE ISLAND, 1872-1943 A fine gouache on paper Impressionist landscape painting of Lake Thun, Switzerland by Hezekiah Anthony Dyer. The work was masterfully executed with the perspective of being on the water observing the Bernese Alps. Dyer effectively reflects the surrounding topography on the surface of the water in a medley of blue, green, and purple. Notice the inclusion of Oberhofen Castle to the left in the middle ground. The work is signed "H.A Dyer" in the lower left corner. The painting is housed in its original Arts and Crafts period frame. 21 1/2" by 29 3/4", with frame 27 3/4" by 35 3/4"
