Description

Standard glaze twin handled vase decorated with a warbler perched on a rose branch, painted in 1891 most likely by Kataro Shirayamadani. Marks include the Rookwood logo, which indicates the date, shape 459 C and an impressed W for White clay. No artist signature but the style and quality of the work would suggest Shiri. There is fine overall crazing. Height is 6 7/8 inches.
