ALEXANDER GLAZUNOV
(1865 - 1936) Russian composer who studied under Rimsky-Korsakov and Liszt, he wrote eight symphonies, ballets, piano pieces, and a symphonic poem. A.M.Q.S., on paperboard, 3 1/4" x 5 3/4", executing four bars from his 8th Symphony in black ink, in both treble and bass clef, with full playing directions, adding the inscription: "To Mr. W.J. Davies" and the date: "The 15th Mai 1934 Paris". Slight abrasion affecting a note in the second bar of the treble line, with mounting remnants of the verso, else very good.
