Advertising Automaton with Sigma Sewing Machine, c. 1940
Depicting a girl seated at a Sigma treadle on which stands a hand-turned toy sewing machine, the figure of rubber-composition, with glass eyes, mohair wig and molded shoes and socks, on wood base containing electric motor with pulley to operate treadle, ht. 39 in. (99 cm), motor disconnected and untested, several breaks in cast-metal treadle frame, one hand detached, neck repaired.
