Segrave writes to his fellow racer regarding Miss England and their request to have the boat back in London by 26th September, explaining 'This I obviously cannot do because I do not know how long it will take to get the boat back from Venice. But I do promise you that she will leave on the night of the 15th., immediately we can get her packed after the race which finishes at 4.30pm on the afternoon of the 15th. More than this I cannot do'. Segrave further asks if the exhibitors will defray the extra heavy cost of the freight express.
