Warner sends his apologies for not coming to St. Pancras to see the New Zealand cricket team off and continues to thank his correspondent for their hospitality, '…this is to thank you for a delightful evening at the Savoy, and secondly to congratulate you on a wonderfully happy and successful tour which has raised so greatly the status of New Zealand cricket, …and so ably and loyally backed up by your Captain and Vice-Captain. I meant every word I said in the speech last night, and it is certain that you leave behind you the most delightful memories…' Warner concludes by remarking 'The drama and charm of cricket never ceases and never will cease…' With minor creasing and a small tear to the right edge of the central fold.
