Far East, China, Song to Ming dynasty, ca. 960 to 1644 CE. A carved green stone phallic amulet in the form of a male phallus, as a symbol of virility and fertility, with vivid details, the penis and testicles clearly defined. This example is laterally perforated at the upper end and was likely worn as a pendant or attached to clothing. Size: 2.5" L (6.4 cm)
