China, Qing Dynasty, 18th century CE. A fine wooden sculpture, hand-carved, of Taoist Guandi, god of war, depicted in their male form. The details of the clothing are wonderful and the pose is dynamic. The figure has the remains of red enamel and guilt. Size: 4.1" L x 6" W x 10.2" H (10.4 cm x 15.2 cm x 25.9 cm)
