Description
A 1920's small silver salver of circular form with Chippendale style rim to a plain centre and raised on three claw and ball feet, hallmarked Mappin & Webb Ltd., Sheffield 1925, diameter measuring 8 inches (20.3 cm). Together with a small 1930's silver pedestal dish having a pierced foliate border, hallmarked Viner's Ltd., Sheffield 1936, diameter measuring 5 7/8 inches (15 cm). Weight 13.88 ozt (431.8 grams). (2).
Condition
Both items displaying some general wear and tarnishing, There are numerous pitting marks, scratches and further contact marks visible to the plain centre of the salver and also to the underside. A couple of minor dints. The dish also displays some similar marks and scratches to the centre. Hallmarks to both are clear and legible.
