Description
ENGLISH PEARLWARE CERAMIC BASKET AND UNDERTRAY, oval-shaped with woven ribs on sides and basketweave design on base of interior of basket and interior of undertray, highlighted with blue. With an incised "6" on base of basket, otherwise unmarked. Together with one waste bowl, having a pedestal foot, dark blue transfer of stag on interior and floral design with landscape, houses, and deer on sides, marked with "TAMS, ANDERSON, TAMS / STAFFORDSHIRE". Three pieces total. Leeds / Staffordshire and other areas. Late 18th/19th century. Basket 9 7/8" x 7 1/8" x 3".
Very good visual condition with professional restoration, and two minute hairlines on rim of undertray; hairline and two flakes on bowl.
