ENGLISH LEEDS TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC BASKET, oval-shaped with underglaze blue printed pattern having a chinoiserie design on interior base. Marked "LEEDS POTTERY" twice on base. Circa 1800. 10" D.
Very good condition. Minor expected wear, minor roughness and one flake on exterior rim, hairline crack on one rib, and professional restoration to two sections of ribs and one small area of rim.
Literature: Interior base pattern as in Walton - Creamware and other English Pottery at Temple Newsam House Leeds, p. 240, item 1033.
Provenance: From the personal collection of George and Mickey Deike.

Condition

Very good condition. Minor expected wear, minor roughness and one flake on exterior rim, hairline crack on one rib, and professional restoration to two sections of ribs and one small area of rim.
