GEORG BALTHASAR PROPST (GERMAN, 1673-1748) VUE D'OPTIQUE OF AMSTERDAM PRINT, hand-colored engraving on paper, oblique bird's eye depiction of the busy city with Dutch inscription in the margin below, probably a restrike published by the engraver's son or grandson, Georg Balthasar Propst (1732-1801), retaining vivid coloration, possibly later. Housed under glass in an old red-painted frame. 18th century. 12 1/4" x 17 1/4" sight, 13 1/8" x 18 1/8" OA.
Very good visual condition with minor creases, toning, and areas of foxing/discoloration. Frame with minor wear. Not examined out of frame.
