Item Details
Description

Details: Antique large format mounted and framed albumen of soldiers from a Civil War Pennsylvania Zouaves regiment.

This antique albumen is attributed to Geman, and depicts a finely dressed group of five soldiers in Zouave d'Afrique uniforms, presumed to be from Pennsylvania 72nd Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the American Civil War.

Mounted in a gilt frame that measures 28" wide by 22 1/2" tall.
Condition / Notes: This antique albumen shows nicely, with mild to moderate age and wear showing on frame. The image appears to be retouched, specifically the eyes of subjects. Some toning on image, but generally well maintained.
