The sculpture with all its parts is in very good condition with normal minimal traces of wear. The bronze sculpture with the melting clock as a saddle illustrates Dalí’s preoccupation with time and reminds of the transience of existence; the auction record for the sculpture in this color version is currently placed at more than $30,000 The bronze horse modeled by Salvador Dalíis banking up in front of a little stick with one of Dalí’s melting clocks. On the back of the horse is also one of the melting clocks of Dalí, which is his most famous symbol since the painting 'La persistance de la mémoire' (1931). The horse is inserted into a black marble plinth. The horse, the ‘clock saddle’ as well as the small stick can be removed separately. The design was conceived in 1980 and cast by Venturi Arte one year later. The bronze sculpture 'Le cheval àla montre molle' illustrates Dalí’s preoccupation with time and reminds of the transience of existence. The bronze sculpture is signed on the right hind leg ‘Dali’ and numbered ‘96/350’. Copyright stamp ‘VENTURI ARTE’. Its hard to make out all that is engraved on the inside lower side of the small clock on the stick, here is what we can can see, "(C)(...) AG-84 (...) DALI".
