19th c. boneshaker tricycle. Jim purchased from the Roy Collection. 36" front wheel, 32" rear wheels. Good condition. Provenance: James Carpenter Collection Part II. According to a November 8, 1991, Press & Sun-Bulletin newspaper article this piece is "A three-wheeled wooden bicycle James Noyes invented in 1875 and rode to work daily until he bought Binghamton's first automobile around 1898.
