West Mexico, Ixlan Del Rio, Ca. 200 BC to 300 AD.A lovely pair of figures molded in red clay with remains of painted slip highlights. One holds a bowl, the other a ball, both with similar facial features including circular eyes, ornamented noses, and open mouths. They are ornately decorated in slip pigments and have ear clips, nose ornaments and headdresses. Sizes: 11-1/2 inches H. eachProvenance: Arthur Englander collection.
