Typical fishtail shape with grotesque butt cap, inlayed wire scrollwork on stock and mixed metal decorative furniture on wood stock that extends to end of fixed smooth bore barrel. Trigger guard has rear and forward finials and engraved scroll work on guard. Left side plate shows two dogs chasing a fox, right side plate has what appears to be a crest or standard of owner. Butt cap has medium tangs with grotesque face of an angry bearded male, silver wash over brass, wear to high points. Fizzle and fizzle spring move freely, Hammer has loss from top of ‘ S’ curve forward, no flint clip. Wire inlay on stock has become partially loose. Ram rod is of tapered wood with metal cap on broad end.
