Height: 19 1/2" Width: 16 7/16" NOTE: Besler was a well known botanist in Nuremberg, who contributed much to the knowledge and medicinal use of flowering plants. It took sixteen years to complete over 1,000 representations of flowers for his Hortus Eytettensis (The Garden of Eichstatt). Only several hundred completed copies of the first edition were published in 1613.

Plates are in overall good condition, image areas pristine, a few spots in margin extremities, including one with light water stain in top right corner, well preserved engravings.
