Description
A beautiful Egyptian painted wood panel, Late Period, c. 664 – 332 BC, depicted the Jackal-headed god Anubis standing behind the deceased, three woman wearing tight-fitting gowns and long wigs present offering before him, the name of each written above. 22 ½ in x 10 in (56.9 x 25.3 cm). Extremely well-preserved with all original pigment and light surface deposits. Ex New Jersey Estate.
