Davidow Chanel Ready to Wear Copy Beige Suit with CC logo buttons, c.late 1960's.

Davidow started importing Chanel haute couture models in late 1950's to make line-to-line ready to wear copies for US market. They often used original fabrics and buttons supplied by Chanel Paris. 1966 Vogue editorial on Paris runway collections states that Davidow copy was sold at Lord & Taylor and I.Magnin while original haute couture of same model was sold at Neiman Marcus.
