Chinese, mid 20th century. A carved rosewood X- or curule form elbow chair, having an ornately carved frame, the chair rail two juxtaposed dragons holding a ball over a shaped back carved with clouds and a serpentine dragon, with two dragon form arms, over a scooped and slatted seat, on a curule form base carved with clouds, the legs terminating in cloud feet. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 46", width 27.5", depth 27", seat depth 22.5", seat to floor 15.5". Provenance: From the Estate of Anne Eng, owner of Trader Eng's / House of Eng, Atlanta, GA.
