Description
A large Egyptian wood mask, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, the facial portion from a wood sarcophagus lid, with large almond-shaped eyes, angular nose, pursed lip and the central portion of the headdress remaining. Much original pigmentation remains and overall a pleasant example! 12 in x 9 1/2 in (30.4 x 24.1 cm). Ex Sotheby's July 1964, Lot 122.
