Description

With various bits of correspondence and lists written by heads of Agudat Yisrael and many businessmen in Israel during World War II, during the establishment of the State of Israel, and after, most on the issue of Jewish children and absorbing the immigrating children from Europe who survived the Shoah, a subject not deeply studied until today—there is much information to be found among these documents.
The project “The Enterprise for the Children of Israel,” established during WWII by the Keren HaTorah (established during the first gathering of Agudat Yisrael in 1923), for supporting yeshivot and Torah institutes in Israel and Europe. The organization was established after the issue was raised of restoring the damage caused during World War One. After WWII the “Enterprise for Absorbing Immigrating Children” was also established, led by the Griz Solovetichik of Brisk and the Gaon of Tchevin.
More than 120 pages, various sizes and conditions.
