Mickey Spillane's Royal Aristocrat Portable Manual Typewriter, Circa 1939. Another of Mickey's typewriters in this current auction, this example, an early one, perhaps used during his salad days of career, for example his time at Funnies, Inc. providing stories for comic books. Or maybe it was used in the genesis period of the Mike Hammer novels, after all the "V" key has sheared off - "V" for "Velda?" The typewriter definitely saw use and is in need of repair to restore it, but if Mickey Spillane broke it, why would you want to fix it?
