A 19th century Palais Royale rosewood and ivory inlaid musical necessaire in the form of a pianoforte
Inlaid with boxwood lines, the shaped hinged lid enclosing a mirrored lid and fitted red velvet tray with silver wired embroidery and including a thimble, a cut glass perfume bottle and a nail pusher, above a music box; on turned tapering legs, inscribed to the interior lid, 'I belong to Sarah Flather of N9 Grove near Mile End Turnpike', 29cm wide, 18.5cm deep, 14cm high.
NB: Requires a CITES license if exported outside the EU
This lot contains ivory and because the US Government has banned the import of ivory into the Country this cannot be exported to the USA
