White ground plate with blue and red underglaze from the 19th century. Forming a shallow bowl, this large charger has a floral border. The facade of the plate depicts a large red underglaze guardian lion with a ball and a smaller, blue underglaze guardian lion. The underside of the plate is blue ground.

Dimensions are 14 5/8 inches wide by 2 1/2 inches high. All measurements are approximate.

There is one crack in the rim that appears to be a firing defect. The underside of the plate has some pitting and some rust spots are evident.
