With the original mailing envelopes (4) Geraldine Farrar (1882-1967) was an American opera singer and actress. She appeared in the first performance at the New York Metropolitan Opera of Puccini's Madama Buttefly and remained a member of the company until her retirement. Farrar also appeared in silent movies between 1915 and 1920. She was a close friend with tenor Enrico Caruso.
