Karl Faberge Imperial Russian, Siberian Nephrite & Solid 84 Russian Silver Footed Kettle Trivet (1882-1898) - This stunning antique piece dates back to St. Petersburg pre-revolution. The piece is made of solid 84 Russian Silver (the Russian standard during this time frame), and has and has an octagon shaped nephrite center. The center piece is removable, and the base is has spherical, footed roundrel bases. The piece spares no attention to detail, and is made by the master Karl Faberge, himself. The rim of the piece is delicately accented with draped, high-relief foliage, and is finished with smooth finieshed edges. The piece also bears the maker's mark of Stephen Wakeva. Stephen Wakeva was one of Faberge's lead workers during this time, and he was best known for his works of tea sets. This piece is truly one of their collaborative masterpieces.
