American 19th/20th Century painter J. Clyde created this idyllic view of a flock of sheep wandering through a wood. The painting was made around 1900, and is oil on canvas. It is signed in the lower right corner. (see photo)

The painting has been recently cleaned and coated with a non-yellowing varnish. The painting is in great condition, and is presented in its original frame, which a previous owner painted with a lustrous gold-powder paint. The frame retains an antique character, and shows off the painting very well.
