BUFFALO POTTERY CAMPBELL SOUP CHILDREN'S CERAMIC DISHES, LOT OF THREE, comprising two with black ABC lettering on the rim and one with gilding, all with polychrome designs of the Campbell Soup children or the Dolly Dingle doll, having heavy bases and thick rims. Two marked with "SEMI-VITREOUS / BUFFALO POTTERY" and one with "BUFFALO / POTTERY" on the base. Buffalo, New York. First quarter 20th century. 7 11/16" D.
Very good undamaged condition with some wear, expected glaze crazing, and minor staining.
Provenance: From the collection of the late Phillip M. Sullivan.
Catalogue Note: Grace Drayton first designed the Campbell Soup Kids in 1905 for advertising purposes. The Dolly Dingle dolls were paper dolls printed in the Pictorial Review between 1909 and 1939.
