This image was designed for the Third Annual Childrens Adventure Day Camp Benefit that was held at the Fillmore Auditorium. Dozens of benefit events were held at the Fillmore Auditorium, and Bill Graham is given credit for sponsoring many of them, in spite of the fact that his name does not appear on the actual posters. In 1966 the 3rd Annual Benefit for Children's Adventure Day Camp featuring an AWESOME line-up of bands and notable figures at the time. The Quicksilver Messenger Service, Big Brother and the Holding Company, The Grateful Dead, The Grass Roots, Sunshine, The New Improved Jook Savages, The PH Phactor Jug Band, The Si Perkoff Jazz Quintet, Larry Hankin, Don Sturdy (aka Dr. Johnny Fever & Howard Hessman), Lew Welch, Garry Goodrow and the San Francisco Mime Troupe. And its featured in "The Art Of Rock", plate 2.68. This poster measures 14-1/8 x 19-7/8, Lights by several different troupes of light show people including:Tony Martin's LIghts Show, Ben Van Meter, & Dan Bruhns' Fillmore Lights at The Fillmore, This wonderfully amusing and fairly obscure poster was created by rock artist by Mary Kay Brown. Most serious collectors consider the benefit posters to be non-numbered pieces in the Bill Graham series. 1st!
